About

Greetings,

I’m Chris Rector, an enterprise architecture and cybersecurity consultant living in Nova Scotia, Canada. Half computer engineer, half management consultant, I’ve found my niche in bringing together technology, cybersecurity, and business strategy in a pragmatic way.

This is my personal site and it has a few goals:

  • to offset years of consuming content by sharing what expertise I can,
  • to keep sharp by continuing to learn through synthesizing, explaining, and summarizing complicated topics, and
  • (if you and I might work together or collaborate on something), to give you a clearer picture up-front of who I am and what I can do.

My current focus is on cybersecurity and identity management, and with helping organizations manage their IT security risks in the most thorough and cost-effective way possible. And to be clear, any opinions and recommendations on this site are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of my employer.

My formal training is in computer engineering and I hold CISSP, Azure Security Engineer Associate, and TOGAF certifications. I have also completed the Johns Hopkins University Data Science Specialization. You can find my full education and work background on my LinkedIn profile.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you find something of value.

– Chris
